York Lions Stadium locked in as World Flag Series expands into Canada for its next high-stakes tournament.
The revolution heads north. Following the historic inaugural event in Tampa on July 25, 2026, the World Flag Series has confirmed that WFS2 will be staged at York Lions Stadium in Toronto, Ontario, Canada — the league's first event outside the United States and, when it kicks off, the biggest professional flag football event in Canadian history. The event is set for Saturday, September 19, 2026, with the first kickoff at 3:00 PM EST.
The Venue
York Lions Stadium sits on the York University campus in north Toronto at 230 Ian Macdonald Blvd, Toronto, ON M3J 1P3. It is a state-of-the-art athletics stadium featuring premier sightlines, easy transit access via Pioneer Village Station on TTC Line 1, and world-class turf — a purpose-built competition environment rather than a repurposed one.
The choice matters. WFS1 proved the format could carry a prime-time stadium crowd; WFS2 is about proving it travels, in a market that already supplies athletes to the series.

Three Franchises
WFS2 is a three-team field. The Glitter Bombs and H.E.R. carry their inaugural records north, and they are joined by the league's newest franchise, the Midnight Ballers — an expansion side making its debut in Toronto. Full player roster and coaching staff announcements are dropping soon.
The Ice Queens will not be competing at WFS2. The franchise's complete WFS1 record — roster, coaching staff and every box score from Tampa — stays live on the team page and in the WFS1 Game Center.

WFS2 Toronto tickets are available to everyone — the early access window is complete, and remaining seats at York Lions Stadium are on general sale through Universe, the official WFS ticketing partner. Game times and roster reveals still go to the WFS2 Toronto VIP list before the general public.
