The Midnight Ballers join a three-team WFS2 field in Toronto. Here is what we know about their identity and branding.
The competition gets tougher in Toronto. WFS is proud to introduce our newest official franchise, the Midnight Ballers. They line up alongside the Glitter Bombs and H.E.R. at WFS2; the Ice Queens are not competing in Toronto. Full player roster and coaching staff announcements are dropping soon.
The Identity
The Midnight Ballers run Midnight Purple and Metallic Silver — a deliberately darker, colder palette than anything on the WFS1 field. Where the Glitter Bombs lean loud and H.E.R. lean disciplined, the Ballers are built to look like the last game of the night.

What This Changes
A new franchise changes the shape of the tournament even at the same field size. WFS1 ran a three-team round robin into a semifinal and a final between the Glitter Bombs, H.E.R. and the Ice Queens. WFS2 keeps a three-team field, but swaps in an untested opponent: with the Ice Queens not competing in Toronto, neither returning side has a single rep of tape on the Ballers.
It also opens the athlete pool. A new franchise means a fresh slate of contracted professional roster spots — and the WFS athlete pipeline is already drawing from fourteen countries.
